A Campaign of Distractions
As Obama and Romney start kicking the summer campaigning season into high gear I can’t help think about the number of distractions that the American people are already dealing with. From slips of the tongue, spelling errors, and the Donald I wonder what the average person thinks about “Politics as Usual.” Someone such as myself who does follow politics, can find humor or at least can see multiple sides of an issue, but what about the casual follower. The person who may not have been following the crazy soap opera of the Republican Primary, and may not know who Romney is, or has a very slanted opinion of Obama based on the Fox News version of him. Most people in America don’t research politics much, they expect their news to fit in one or two broadcasts, or the 10 minutes they watch of CNN. I wonder how the voters are going to deal with this rather distracting election.
