Rand Paul, presidential candidate, and Senator from Kentucky is in his seventh hour of filibustering on the Senate floor. He is filibustering the resigning of the Patriot Act, with a focus on bulk data collection. Basically that we should be following the American Constitution, and have probable cause and a warrant from a judge before collecting citizen’s data in bulk. I applaud you Senator Paul for your conviction. This isn’t the first time that Senator Paul has been willing to stand up, literally, for a cause he believes in. In 2013 Paul filibustered, yes that is a verb now, for over 12 hours about Obama’s use of drones.
Watch Paul’s continuing filibuster here, and look forward to an article going over the play by play of this filibuster in the next few days.
