According to multiple news sources today Trump’s poll numbers have bounced up just after the end of the Republican National Convention.
According to CNN, “Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% in a four-way matchup including Gary Johnson (9%) and Jill Stein (3%) and by three points in a two-way head-to-head, 48% to 45%.” That is a gain of 6 points after the convention.
CNN’s polls show that Trump has made gains among independents, and Hillary has made gains among university graduates. Trump’s biggest gains have been with caucasian voters who do not hold university degrees.
Hillary’s biggest hit was that 68% of those polled do not find her honest and trustworthy. This poll may or may not have been taken before the DNCLeaks became public, it doesn’t say. If it was taken before the DNCLeaks became public, that means that Hillary has more to worry about. She’s crawling out of the hole that seems to be getting deeper and deeper.
While I disagree with Trump and don’t believe in what he’s saying or that he would be able to accomplish what he promises, I do believe he’s genuine with his statements. I haven’t trusted Hillary since I was a teenager. I have admired her for breaking down barriers, but I don’t trust her. Day one of the DNC convention is tonight, and Bernie will be speaking. I am curious to what he has to say.
