Today is May the 4th, Star Wars Day. I am a Star Wars Fan. I have been a Star Wars fan since my second year at university when my ex-boyfriend “made” me watch the entire original trilogy in one night. And I fell in love.
I fell in love with the story that was so simple and easy to understand. A story that is simply about good guys and bad guys and the power of love, hate and redemption are easy to understand and follow. The original trilogy can be that simple or you can look for nuance and shades of grey especially in the Skywalker family.
Today is Star Wars Day, and with another Star Wars prequel set to be released at the end of the month, I ask you, my dear readers, to take a look at a simple set of three movies. Although the prequel trilogy isn’t as fast tased or as exciting as the new movies, they have poetry to them.
This world is complicated, with so many shades of grey, isn’t it nice to know that these are movies that you can sit and watch and be taken on a ride through a galaxy far far away.
