Democratic Debate Night

Well with Kristen Gillibrand dropping out of the Democratic Presidential Primary Race we are now at ten candidates who are polling at at least 2% which qualifies them for the September 12 Democratic Debate.

In recent weeks John Hickenlooper, Jay Inslee, Seth Moulton, and Eric Swalwell have already left this race. Inslee, Moulton, and Swalwell have all said they will seek re-election, and Hickenlooper has said he will run for Senate.

There are still twenty candidates (at the time of writing this article) that have active campaigns for president. The ten candidates that are polling above 2% in National Polls seem to be the candidates that everyone wants to hear from.

It has been officially announced that there will only be one Democratic Debate from now on. Some are upset because ten candidates on one stage is a lot. Especially candidates with a lot of weight and gravitas behind them. I am interested in seeing Warren and Biden debate each other. That hasn’t happened yet. What do you think of only having one night of debates? What do you think of only half of the candidates being allowed on the debate stage?
