Isaac Veysey-White

Isaac Veysey-White is a PhD Candidate in Hispanic Cultural Studies at Michigan State University, specializing in contemporary Spanish literature and popular culture. He also holds a Master of Arts in Spanish from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Biology form Albion College. With a special interest in the intersections of memory, trauma, postcolonial theory and subjectivity, he is currently researching the neoliberal economic crisis in Spain and the ways in which Spanish popular culture (and especially comics) depict it. For The Sexy Politico, he writes about the politics and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world, as well as about science and popular culture.
