Best Dressed @ the Teen Choice Awards

Apart from the flurry of questions surrounding the winners of each award, my favorite thing about awards shows is the red carpet and deliberating who wore what, or more specifically, who wore it best! My favorite looks from the 2015 Teen’s Choice Awards are as follows:

Rita Ora

Rita Ora wore an orange-red trouser suit, sans blouse, for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. The pink tinted hair and the suit’s color is reminiscent of fall but the shiny quality of it makes the whole outfit appear fun, summery, and cool (both literally and figuratively). Also I would fight her for those stunning heels.

Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland’s stunning yellow shorts and crop top combo is perfect for this red carpet. The gorgeous yellow color, with white stripes, is fun and formal all at once. Hyland’s haircut and gorgeous orange lipstick takes the whole look up a level. I would have preferred a more adventurous pair of heels for this outfit to add a focal point but the whole look is nonetheless one of my favorites.

Chloe Grace Moretz

Chloe Grace Moretz’s outfit was a surprise. At first glance I was not a huge fan, the skirt’s visible waistband irked me and the top was a bit confusing, but the more I look at this image the more I adore this whole look. The green snake top is stunning and the coloring of the snake is set off incredibly with her lipstick. The necklace is subtle enough to not distract from the top and the fun skirt (I bet twirling around in that would be super fun). My favorite aspect of the outfit would have to be the beautiful indigo/purple suede heels, the color pulls the whole outfit together and makes it one of my unconventional favorites.

Sabrina and Sarah Carpenter

Sabrina and Sarah Carpenter’s outfits encapsulate the transition between summer and fall. Sabrina Carpenter’s dark floral dress with sheer accents is stunning and perfectly set off by her light coral/pink heels. Sarah Carpenter’s mirrored top and coordinating bottoms’ print is gorgeous. The outfit is both formal and age appropriate. My favorite part of her outfit are the heels though, the thin strap and white color are made funky, and functional, with a thick heel. I want to wear them everywhere (until it rains of course).

Maia Mitchell

Maia Mitchell’s broderie anglaise outfit was my absolute favorite of the night. For a daytime event, especially on such a summery day, broderie anglaise is beautiful, its both formal and casual and she looks incredible in the outfit. Amongst the myriad of bodycon dresses this outfit stands out for its uniqueness and functionality. Her hair stylist should also be commended because the braid is perfect at showing off the gorgeous embroidery on the top.
