Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. While I am not surprised she was confirmed, I am surprised she was pushed through as quickly as she was.
What does this mean? She seems to be an ultra-conservative justice, who will vote in a conservative fashion and overturn Roe v. Wade if given the chance. But do we really know that?
Coney Barrett considered herself an originalist, and in such believes in the wording of the constitution at the time of the founding. John Roberts has been surprisingly moderate.
I am saying that yes there is a conservative majority on the court, but maybe there is hope that if the courts aren’t on the ideological side of the administration that Congress will do something and not wait for the Courts to do it for them.
