MAGA Misogyny
It’s interesting how political analysts on cable tv and the internet want to perform an autopsy on the Democrats losing campaign.
If you were tasked with winning the Stanley Cup or the Super Bowl one of the first things to look at would be the teams that just won those championships. How did they do it?
How did the Republicans win the majority of the male vote? Perhaps the answer is too unpleasant for the mainstream media.
In 2016, Zach Galifianakis, host of the Funny or Die internet show Between Two Ferns, asked Hillary Clinton, “When you see how well it works for Donald Trump, do you think to yourself, oh maybe I should be more racist?”
Racist dog whistles are a critical tactic for Republicans who want the support of Trump’s MAGA base.
So is misogyny.
Here are just a few of Trump’s comments about women:
“horse face”
“nasty”
“sick”
“She’s a whack job”
“You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.”
During a 2016 Republican form. Megyn Kelly asked Trump why he called women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.”
In 2024 Trump said of his opponent Harris, “I think I’m entitled to personal attacks, I don’t have a lot of respect for her.”

Siren leading sailor to his death.
Misogyny is not just a Republican campaign tactic- it is a core MAGA belief to be put into policy.
The Heritage Foundation is a Washington D.C. based research institution think tank that used to be ‘conservative’ but now creates authoritarian public policy proposals.
The Foundation, drawing on the help of over 140 former Trump administration members, created an authoritarian policy handbook called Project 2025.

Succubus draining the life from her victim.
Project 2025 reflects the MAGA beliefs that our society needs to be a patriarchal hierarchy. MAGA demands that male led families reinforce traditional gender roles while undoing protections for women and LGBTQ people.
Project 2025 demands the removal of language referring “gender equality” and “gender equity,” from legislation.
The Heritage plan calls for the end to the Gender Policy Council because it seeks to insure gender equity and equality in foreign and domestic policies. The Council also fights gender based domestic violence.
The Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturned Roe v. Wade. The Dobbs decision reactivates the long dormant Comstock Act which prohibits the mailing of obscene materials. Comstock laws can be be interpreted to outlaw birth control including access to the mifepristone abortion pill.

Salome waiting for the head of John the Baptist.
Project 2025 calls for the collection of data that “… ensure(s) that every state reports exactly how many abortions take place within its borders, at what gestational age of the child, for what reason, the mother’s state of residence, and by what method.”
Other contraception methods are also under attack. Project 2025 seeks to remove insurance requirements to cover emergency contraception. It calls for “religious and moral exemptions” to keep employers from covering the cost of birth control.
Project 2025 calls for de-funding Medicaid approved Planned Parenthood services.
Head Start, the preschool program for low-income families will be de-funded.
Project 2025 states that federal aid must only be used for “policies with those encouraging marriage, work, motherhood, fatherhood, and nuclear families.”
Other authoritarian policies such as ending the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program can be harmful to women. Sixty four percent of education loan debt belongs to women.

Pandora opening the box.
And yet…
In 2024 46 percent of women voted for Trump despite his comments and misogynist agenda.
During the 2016 Republican primary Trump said of opponent Carly Fiorina’s appearance, “Look at that face. Would anyone vote for that?”
Fiorina shot back with, “I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said.”
But did they?
